And These Two Used To Play Brothers In One Of The Most Popular Nickelodean Shows!

Josh Peck says Drake Bell wasnt invited to his wedding 1

Actor Josh Peck spoke about the status of his relationship with his former costar Drake Bell for the first time since the infamous 2017 wedding invitation snub. Both the actors are best known for being the protagonists on the popular hit Nickelodean show Drake and Josh (2004–2007). Earlier they had a publicized fight which made headlines in the tabloids for several months until they reconciled. Playing the role of stepbrothers in the series and having good chemistry on-screen, viewers thought both were friends in real life. When Josh Peck didn’t invited Drake Bell in his wedding to Paige O’Brien, Bell called him out in a now-deleted tweet.

In a recent podcast titled “BFFs with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards”, Josh Peck said they were not close in real life and that he and Drake Bell were not in touch ever since the show ended. Later, he elaborated that he received a text message from Bell, “Cut to, I’m getting married that night and I see these text messages from him, like cursing me out, coming for me. On the night of my wedding…..I don’t care about me, it’s, whatever, I signed to be a public person. It is what it is. But here’s my wife, who’s like, getting torn down on the Internet and I’m like, she’s private and she just got married”. Peck then talked about what transpired before their reunion at 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, “I go up to him–and this might be the most Sopranos thing I’ve ever done , I look at him and I go, ‘Go apologize to my wife right now”.

Peck further added, “And he goes, ‘OK’ and he like, made a beeline for my wife and I see him do like, this whole five-minute performance of an apology and I was like, ‘Go apologize to my wife or something bad’s gonna happen”.

Peck was angry that his wife was subjected to online trolling and harassment which further escalated the tension among the two. Last time Josh broke his silence about Drake was when the latter was arrested and charged with child endangerment in 2021. After their picture appeared on social media, in which the two were seen hugging, fans thought they had patched things up. Even before “Drake and Josh”, both did another show together called “The Amanda Show”, therefore fans were shocked when they learned both were not friends in real life despite their long history.
