The first date for Netflix’s previously teased live-action series set in the world of Resident Evil has been announced. Capcoms, a Gooey game series adaptation, will premiere on the streaming service on July 14th.
As previously stated, Resident Evil will follow two interconnected timelines set during the build-up to and aftermath of a global bio-weapon disaster. One timeline follows Albert Wesker’s teenage daughters as they go through their father’s strange and unconscious experimentation. The second timeline, which will be featured in the show for a limited time, takes place 14 years later on a planet that has grown tired of the apocalyptic, monster-filled chaos.

The eight-episode season is produced by showrunner Andrew Dabb (of Supernatural fame) and stars a hip n trendy cast, including Lance Reddick, who you may recognize from the John Wick series as the sinister Charon, donning the equally sinister Wesker sunglasses. Siena Agudong, Ella Balinska, Paola Nunez, Adeline Rudolph, and Tamara Smart are among the young stars in the cast. The eight episodes are completely unwindable, as is typical of Netflix. You can also get by on your own and live a life with the help of reading.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse will be the most recent of a slew of recent television adaptations of survival horror series. The Netflix anime series Resident Evil: Apocalypse premiered in the summer of 2021.

While the sequel to Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, A Stranger Man, was released last fall, it was followed by Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

The first involves Jade and Billie Wesker, 14-year-old sisters who are relocating to New Raccoon City. They begin to suspect that their father is keeping dark secrets from them that could destroy the world.
The second timeline is set a decade in the future, when only 15 million humans remain and the T-virus has infected over 6 billion animals and people. It follows Jade, now thirty years old, as she tries to make a living in this world. The first round of pre-production was set to begin in April 2020, with the main shoot taking place between June and October 2020.As you might expect, those plans were scrapped after COVID-19 wreaked havoc on all production schedules in 2020. A new date of February 2021 was given, but it has since been changed.
