‘Euphoria’ star Sydney Sweeney to be cast in Sony Pictures’, ‘Madame Web’ opposite Dakota Johnson

Sydney Sweeney, who has marked a great success with her performance on the HBO series, “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus” is now ready to appear on Sony Pictures’, “Madame Web“. The Euphoria star will be joining the Fifty Shades of Grey actress, Dakota Johnson in Marvel’s upcoming movie, Madame Web. Sydney has a lot on her plate right now as she had a busy year because of her web series Euphoria. The actress looks right on the wishlist of every major casting studio and was searching for the best project when she said to have liked the role of a woman superhero in Marvel’s Madame Web.

The movie ‘Madame Web’ is based on a fictional character from American Comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character ‘Madame Web’ first appeared in the Amazing Spider-Man published in November 1980 and was created by writer Denny O’ Neil and artist John Romita Jr. It also appeared in other media such as “Spider-Man: The Animated Series”. She appeared as an elderly woman with a neuromuscular disease, connected to a life support system resembling a spiderweb in the Spider-Man comic book series. She also has some psychic abilities which helped her to grow a spiderweb that operates as her life support system.

The movie will be directed by British Television Director, ‘S.J. Clarkson’ and is co-written by ‘Matt Sazama’ and ‘Burk Sharpless’. It is confirmed that Dakota johnson will be playing the role of Madame Web, however, the role of Sydney Sweeney is still a mystery. Regardless of their roles, only the appearance of Sydney and Dakota has brought the movie into the discussion. Dakota will be the first Marvel Superhero woman. Some have claimed that due to her sensory powers, the character might be Sony’s version of ‘Doctor Strange’. Sydney is currently working on ‘Tony Tost’s National Anthem, starring Simon Rex and Halsey.
