Movie theatres got big boost just after one week release of The Batman, starring Robert Pattison. The worldwide box office is already double than the films $200 million budget in just a week.
Movie theatres were taking a double hit because of the public heath measures taken during the pandemic 2020 and also of the wide use of OTT platforms. Batman was always a hit there was this slight hesitation about releasing Batman after pandemic. Originally Batman’s budget estimated budget was $100 million , it got doubled than the initial estimate to $200 million making The Batman more expensive Batman films.
With Disney pulling Pixar’s Turning Red from theatres to Disney+ streaming, it seems like The Batman would continue Box Office domination. The Batman is also the second biggest movie on theatres after Spiderman: No Way Home from last year which raised about $260 million. The movie was not released over Russia after Warner Bros pulled their new movies from that market due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It is to be notes that as of now, The Batman has not yet been released in China also.
With The Batman being a hit worldwide, it seems any day now Warner bros might announce the sequel as they delayed and reshuffled a bunch of DC films’ release date.
Other than Robert Pattison as Bruce Wayne, The batman also features Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dino as Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Collin Farrell as The Penguin. Directed by Matt Reeves. Pattison also played a lead role in Christopher Nolan’s time bending spy film, Tennet (2020) before this. He was also considered for the role of Maurizio Gucci in House of Gucci (2021).
