Shawn Levy directing ‘DEADPOOL 3’

Canadian filmmaker Shawn Levy is to direct Deadpool 3, collaborating wit Ryan Reynolds. The film is rumored to be involved with another popular group in X-men mythos, X-force.

According to reports, no other cast member has been decided , apart from Ryan Reynolds, who’s playing a key role in the movie. The original movie was directed by Tim Miller, whereas Deadpool 2 was directed by David Leitch. Josh Berlin was introduced as Cable in the previous Deadpool movie along with Zazie Beatz as Domino, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa and T.J Miller was introduced as Weasel.

As Ryan has worked with Levy over the last year’s hits “The Adam Project”, and “Free Guy”, it was significant why Levy has been chosen for the direction of this movie. The Adam Project is to be released over this weekend on Netflix. The first two films of the franchise were debuted in 2016 and 2018 respectively, had been released by 20th Century Fox before it was acquired by Disney. The third part of franchise was disrupted because of Fox/Disney merger in 2019.

Ryan Reynolds shared a post through Instagram yesterday about him working with Shawn Levy. Ryan Reynolds while discussing Deadpool 2 production with Comicbook.com, says he’s still hoping for Hugh-Jackman Wolverine crossover. Ryan , as per Comicbook said, “That would be amazing. I say write to Kevin Feige, care of Marvel Cinematic Universe at whatever Buena Vista Way. I don’t know where it is, but yeah, that would be nice. That would be a dream. That would be a dream come true.”

Levy, over the last decade, has built quite a career through directing films like Pink Panther, The Night Of The Museum trilogy, Free Guy and The Adam Project. He also Produced and directed episodes of TV shows like Stranger Things. It’s been great seeing Ryan and Levy getting bonded over the last two projects. That increases a lot of excitement towards Deadpool 3 and now that the much awaited sequel has got a director, more news will be coming soon regarding the movie
