Atlanta, the FX series created by Donald Glover started in 2016 and had eleven new episodes released in March 2018, has led to eagerness among viewers who are waiting to see the characters of Alfred, Earn, Van and Darius together again. Earlier the rising popularity of Donald Grover such as winning a Grammy award for his “This is America” music video as Childish Gambino, works with Disney and other big deals with production houses were attributed to the delay seen with the new season of Atlanta. Regardless of this, the long wait is over as the audience is going to once again see the fun relationship between Earl and Paper Boi because Atlanta is going to be released on March 24 this year. After four years of wait, it is indeed an exciting news. Also last year in August, the FX Networks and Productions chairman announced that season 4 has been written and preparations are on. So it might be released late this year or early 2023.
FX has released the trailer of the series and it shows the characters of Paper Boi, Earn, Darius and Van enjoying in Europe since they have accompanied Paper Boy on his tour. The character of Earn is seen not engaging in any activity and even questioning Paper Boi for their decisions. Even before this full-length trailer, FX has been keeping the hype maintained by releasing a small teaser in December last year which too shows the characters vacationing in Europe.
Initially it was being said that both seasons 3 and 4 will have eight episodes each but thanks to the writers the former will have ten. As far as the cast is concerned, each character from previous seasons will be seen. As a series which depicts the impact of race and class, it is likely that viewers will get to see the persistent hardship faced by Earn due to racism and bad choices. Season 2 of Atlanta concluded with Earn, Paper Boi and Clark County getting aboard a plane to Europe and so Season 3 was filmed in Paris, London and Amsterdam. The promoters also said that it will have more women with producer/writer Stephen Glover saying in an interview that “some cool ideas…..that’ll put some more women on screen”. And finally on February this year The Hollywood Reporter reported that FX CEO had said that season 4 of Atlanta will be the last although it is understandable since each actor is getting other big offers it was expected that the series will end soon.
