Jalsa, a production of T-Series Films and Abundantia Entertainment starring Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah and Manav Kaul, Jalsa tells life story of a journalist and her cook and their conflicts through the life. The movie directed by Suresh Triveni is being released on 18th March 2022 . Owning tag lines like, “One Truth, Many Versions”, “Blind To The Truth, Secrets Become Her Only Friends”, the trailer itself shows the enchanting performances of actresses Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah. Known for her reckoning acting skills, Vidya Balan states on the launch of Jalsa trailer that she initially was rejecting the movie stating, “I didn’t had the guts to do it”. Although she did love the script, Suresh took his pandemic time to re-write the script after which Vidya came on board with the movie. Fans have been waiting to see the actress doing some different role this time.
At the launch Vidya mentioned about trusting Suresh blindly for this. “There is a lot more to the story. The film is a gripping drama with elements of thrill”, states Vidya.
Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah’s thriller shows the ugly side of journalism where the two are shown to be connected to a murder case. The story revolves around the killing of a young girl and a news channel’s investigating it. While Shefali Shah plays the mother of the victim who no matter what doesn’t give up on her daughter and Vidya Balan is the journalist looking and investigating the story.
