The writers of Sony’s upcoming Spidey animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) have indicated that the live-action Spider-Men may appear in the film. Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, and Andrew Garfield have all played Spider-Man in live-action films. They first appeared together in the popular Marvel picture Spider-Man: No Way Home last year. And now, the Spider-Verse authors have indicated that a reunion may be on the way.
Across the Spider-Verse is the follow-up to Sony’s hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), which stars Shameik Moore as Spider-Miles Man’s Morales.

It was the first film to have numerous Spider-Men, with Jake Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Hailee Steinfeld, John Mulaney, and Kimiko Glen all taking on the role.
The creators and producers of Spider-Verse, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, recently spoke with Variety about the prospect of live-action Spider-Men appearing in the film. Phil responded with a giggle and a reference to No Way Home, stating, “It’s a high standard to meet. The challenge has been issued.” “All things are possible in the multiverse.” Christopher answered.

When the reporter pressed Phil, saying that the comment would cause havoc on Twitter among Spider-Man fans, he answered, “RIP my mentions!” Part one of Across the Spider-Verse is set to hit theaters in October 2022, with a sequel following the following year. Across the Spider-Verse already has many Spider-Men, with Oscar Isaac scheduled to voice Spider-Man 2099 and Jake Johnson reprising his role as Peter Parker, as well as Shameik and Hailee as Miles and Spider-Gwen, respectively.
Into the Spider-Verse, the film’s prequel, was not only an economic triumph, grossing $375 million at the box office, but it was also highly lauded. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
