Rishi Kapoor’s last film, Sharmaji Namkeen is set for ott release on his birthday 31 March

Rishi Kapoor, a veteran actor, died of leukemia on April 30, last year, at the age of 67. The late actor died during filming Hitesh Bhatia’s Sharmaji Namkeen, which was also his final screen appearance. Following Kapoor’s replacement, the film has finally been completed and will be released on his birthday.


In honor of the late Rishi Kapoor’s legacy, Prime Video and Excel Entertainment announced the international premiere of the renowned actor’s final film Sharmaji Namkeen on Wednesday. The film stars the late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, as well as Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar, and is directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in partnership with MacGuffin Pictures.


The film is based on a touching story of self-discovery and self-realization. It depicts the lives of a newly retired man who rediscovered his passion for cooking after becoming a member of a rowdy women’s kitty circle.
