Everything We Know So Far About Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer” Series

The Lincoln Lawyer

The Lincoln Lawyer has been in theatres in the United States for almost ten years. Fans of Michael Connelly’s iconic crime thriller will be able to witness the tale play again a decade later when Netflix transforms it into an Original series. We’ll keep you up to date on The Lincoln Lawyer’s narrative, casting news, production developments, and Netflix premiere date.
The Lincoln Lawyer is an upcoming Netflix Original criminal drama series based on author Michael Connelly’s novel of the same name.
The series was initially slated for CBS but was cancelled, therefore it never aired.

The project may be taken up by Netflix in September 2020, according to initial reports. A+E Studios later sued Viacom CBS for cancelling the series in the summer of 2021.
The series was formally announced by Netflix in January 2021, with the promise of “serving up the complex and mysterious arcs fans know and love with a mix of light-hearted humour.” “I’m thrilled to call Netflix our home,” Connelly added. And I’m thrilled to deliver this rich, multidimensional narrative full of interesting characters and secrets to millions of viewers – both old and new fans – all around the world.”

This isn’t the first time Michael Connelly’s books have been adapted for the big screen. You may recall that Lionsgate released their adaption of the film in 2011. The film had a $40 million budget and allegedly made just about $90 million at the box office.
A+E Studios is producing Connelly’s courtroom drama, with Ted Humphrey serving as showrunner, executive producer, and one of the writers. Humphrey is most recognized for his work on CBS’s The Good Wife and Syfy’s Incorporated.
Ross Fineman will also act as an executive producer on the project, as will David E. Kelly, who will also serve as a writer and executive producer.

It’s worth mentioning that Connelly is actively participating with the show. He was involved in many elements of the program, including co-writing the last episode with Humphrey and being present on set on a regular basis.
In season 1, Erin Feeley and Alonso Alvarez both direct two episodes.
According to a production schedule, filming would continue through October 29th, 2021. Pre-production began in January 2021, and post-production began in late July 2021, according to IMDbPro.
Los Angeles, California was the location for the series’ filming. Marina del Ray, Wilshire Ebell Theatre, Spring Street, and Grand Avenue were among the locales used in the series. Humphrey has stated in interviews that the majority of the performance takes place in Downtown Los Angeles.
