After the passing of Dewey in Scream 2022, the franchise’s last remaining original stars are both Cox and Campbell. As sequels go, the chances for survival on recurring characters get more fragile and more vulnerable, but at the same time it’s possible that Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett have something special up their sleeves for Scream 6 that could subvert those expectations altogether.
