Streaming Charts for the week of January 3, 2022, were released by Oricon on December 29th. Monitoring took place between the 20th and 26th of last month. Pop disco hit ‘Dynamite’ by BTS is one of the most recent additions to the chart.

‘Dynamite’ ranked 16th in the most recent weekly rankings with 3.95 million streams acquired over the tracking period. Streams for BTS’ first English language tune have already reached 500 million. It took Yoasabi and BTS’s “Dynamite,” which debuted on Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Chart in 2018, to surpass the half-billion-view mark. To date, no other Korean or global act has been able to do what BTS has.

BTS members RM and V showered Ashley Park with love and support after she sang ‘Dynamite,’ the septet’s pop-disco blockbuster single, during their special performance of ‘Emily in Paris.’ If you missed it, Ashley Park sang “Dynamite” in front of a live audience during Season 2’s opening episode! It means a lot to Ashley Park and the rest of the “Emily in Paris” crew, says a short essay she wrote to thank BTS for their recognition.

More than 1.3 billion people have seen BTS’s video for “Dynamite”. On November 19, BTS’ “Dynamite” music video surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube. The video was released on August 21, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. IST, one year, two months, and 29 days after it was originally scheduled to be released. It was Jimin and V of BTS who came out on top of the November rankings for male group members.

With this, ‘Dynamite’ has surpassed BLACKPINK’s previous record of two years, one month, and 17 days for ‘Kill This Love,’ becoming the fastest Korean group video to reach 1.3 billion views. For BTS, this is their third music video to exceed 1.3 billion views, following “DNA” and “Boy With Luv.” Dynamite, a pop-disco song released on August 21, 202, is an antidote to the pandemic.
