There is a new trailer for Peacemaker, the upcoming HBO Max/DC Comics series. When James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad premiered on August 6, 2021, the titular character became a part of the DC Universe.

After him, there will be a sequel called Peacemaker. Additionally, Gunn created the show, wrote all of the scripts, and directed a good chunk of the episodes. The Suicide Squad’s COVID-19-related distribution delays will be exploited by the show, which will premiere on January 13th, 2022.

He returns as the weapons expert Peacemaker, a man so devoted to his beliefs that he would go to any length to achieve them, even if it means becoming a villain in the process. His co-stars will include Steve Agee (John Economos) and Jennifer Holland (Emilia Harcourt) from The Suicide Squad. Leota Adebayo is played by Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick is the father of Peacemaker, Chukwudi Iwuji is Clemson Murn, and Freddie Stroma is Vigilante.

As James Gunn promised on Twitter last week, HBO Max has published a stunning new trailer for Peacemaker in the new year. The R-rated DCEU series’ visual trailer shows Cena resuming his character as the antihero established in The Suicide Squad. Two of the show’s antagonists are teased, as is Gunn’s trademark filthy humour, which was on display in his prior DC work.

After the events of Suicide Squad, The Peacemaker will delve into the character’s past and present missions. Adrian Chase, the brash young Vigilante, will join forces with him grudgingly, despite the lack of narrative specifics.

When he’s not fighting crime at night, Chase works at a restaurant and is just as fervent about his ideals as Peacemaker is. There is an uncanny resemblance between their relationship and that of Kate Bishop and Clint Barton in Marvel’s Hawkeye.
