Stephen Colbert's Late Show last Friday to show a spoof of the upcoming Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts special

On Stephen Colbert’s Late Show last Friday, a spoof of the upcoming Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts special, which will air on HBO Max on January 1, was featured. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, all original members of the Harry Potter cast, will be interviewed for this special, which will feature memories of their time on set.

Organizers hope to mark the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’s release. There will be a follow-up to the recent HBO Max Friends reunion special, which was a massive success. Warner Bros. appears to have realised that the reunions for which so many fans have patiently waited may be profitable for them.

Harry Potter-related projects have been a no-no for Daniel Radcliffe since the early 2010s. A change of heart seemed to have brought him back to his former glory. As soon as the reunion announcement was made, Harry Potter fans around the world were eagerly anticipating it; especially now that three of the key characters have agreed to attend.

The Sorting Hat is the only Hogwarts student who hasn’t been referenced in any of the publicity surrounding the reunion. “The Sorting Hat’s” response to being called back to Hogwarts for the reunion special was parodied by Stephen Colbert on The Late Show’s official Twitter account.

A talking, magical hat sits on the heads of first-year students and chooses which House they belong to based on their personality and abilities. During an appearance on The Late Show, the Sorting Hat remarked on Dobby the house-inability elf’s to leave Maggie Smith alone, especially when cocaine was involved.

Preparation for the upcoming reunion special is heightened by Colbert’s parody of it.
Aside from mispronouncing nouns, the headgear also struggles to pronounce “Gryffindor” correctly. They were targeted by the hat, which referred to Draco and Lucius Malfoy by a derogatory term. The full video is available here:

We may imagine about what kind of rumours Hogwarts students could have heard. Helen Mirren will host the reunion special, which will be presented by Colbert’s parody. Some sort of delicious tidbit or new storey from the cast of Harry Potter will be eagerly anticipated by fans next month.

All in good fun, Colbert’s parody overstated the kinds of things celebrities may say at the occasion. The Late Show has a reputation for skewering this type of material for laughs. Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts is sure to be funny, but the cast is unlikely to disclose anything as ridiculous as Colbert’s spoof of the series. Those who haven’t seen the special yet will be excited to see this trailer.
