In a previous press conference, Maezawa commented, “I feel like a kid waiting for a school trip.”

First-time space traveller Yusaku Maezawa has spent months tweeting about his plans to fly beyond our planet’s atmosphere, using social media to recruit and even locate a life mate to join him on his planned lunar voyage in 2023. On his YouTube channel, which has more than 770,000 followers, the millionaire will reveal the findings by his admirers.

A long-cherished ambition of Maezawa’s has come true with his scheduled return to the planet on December 20. Online cash giveaways from billionaire Y.C. Maezawa generally come in a form of bank transfers, but this time the tycoon has vowed that everyone who participates will win and get some money.

As part of his training at a space facility outside Moscow, the billionaire businessman has been broadcasting videos of his sessions there. He skipped college before becoming wealthy. According to local media estimates, Maezawa and his aide Yozo Hirano’s flight aboard the Russian Soyuz MS-20 is expected to $88 million. Alexander Misurkin, a Russian cosmonaut, will also be on board. One of Zozo’s best-known strategies was selling body-tight outfits that customers could use to obtain measurements for custom-fitted clothing. But the ferocity of expansion was short-lived. After selling an interest in the firm, Maezawa resigned from the company’s board of directors in 2019.
