BTS has been on a roll lately, performing live and winning awards. The seven members recently revealed that they will be taking a sabbatical, and it appears that they have decided to give their fans something special before departing. The ARMY was taken aback when all of the members made their Instagram debut at the same time.
First up is leader RM, who went by the handle @rkive to refer to his production studio. His bio is in all lowercase, “Just an archive.” RM has three photos on his Instagram account as of this writing. The first is a vintage shot of him lounging on a wooden chair beside a cliff, taking in the scenery. The second photo, which RM himself has labelled as a throwback, is a photograph from SoFi Stadium that seems identical to one he previously shared on Twitter. However, it is without a doubt the third that takes the cake — by a long shot. RM’s third post shows him snapping a photo of a cat sitting atop some stairs with his back to the camera. He captioned the photo, “Finding Yoongi.”
The Bangtan Boys had been performing live at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles for four days before announcing that they would be taking a break. The concert was a huge success, with tickets selling out in minutes and various worldwide musicians attending. Coldplay and Megan Thee Stallion made special appearances, and Halsey was seen in the VIP box enjoying the show.
The latest event is that BTS members joined Instagram on Monday and immediately took over the social media network. Fans flocked to the follow button in droves, doubling their following in minutes. Within hours of their debut, all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—had surpassed the 7 million mark. They’ve also been amusing the fans by leaving witty comments on each other’s social media posts. BiHit Music, the BTS boys’ management business, recently revealed that they had opted to take a break for the first time since 2019.
