Chris Hemsworth Finally Says Something About His Long-Awaited Return To The Thor Films

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth discusses whether or not he would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for additional Thor movies. In Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lot is occurring. Fans were introduced to new heroes such as the Eternals and Shang Chi, as well as old favourites such as Black Widow and Spider-Man. After Spider-Man: No Way Home, the studio just stated that Tom Holland will return with a new trilogy.

Meanwhile, the hammer-wielding deity, who, alongside Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America, was one of Marvel’s early foundations, has a few words to say about his plans to return for additional films.

Despite the fact that RDJ and Evans stated before their final appearances as their on-screen heroes that they were quitting the franchise, Thor actor Chris Hemsworth has a different take on his future with the franchise, stating that he’ll be back as long as they need him. Hemsworth was asked if he’s interested in more MCU films after Tom Holland’s new Spider-Man trilogy was confirmed on Australia’s The Today Show.

“Has he done a lot of Spider-Mans?” He’s a few steps ahead of me. I believe he’s completed three, but I’ve completed six or seven Thors, so it’s possible. I’ll show up as long as they’ll have me, but I think their enthusiasm for me to keep going is dwindling,” Chris Hemsworth responded. Currently, the actor is filming Extraction 2 in Prague.

Given that Chris has been a part of the franchise for a decade and is one of the Avengers’ core members, it’s logical that he wouldn’t want to reprise his role. That is not the case, and his admirers are not about to lose interest in him anytime soon.

Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris Hemsworth’s seventh film as the hammer-wielding god, will be released next year.
