Miles Morales appears to be travelling to India for his next adventure in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), according to the first look.

On Sunday, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was unveiled, teasing the film’s Indian link. The video begins with a grounded Mile Morales (Shameik Moore), who was also seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, reuniting with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and inviting him on another run between realms.

She asks him, “Wanna get out of here?” He tells her he’s been grounded. She inquires, “Is Spider-Man grounded?” Miles quickly follows in her footsteps and is shown passing through a doorway made out of hexagonal rings. He enters a different realm. Miles appears to be in India based on the sounds and Hindi texts that show on the screen. Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, also attacks him.

Marvel fans in India are ecstatic over the first sight. Many fans are hoping to see Pavitr Prabhakar, the desi Spider-Man, in the film. “Yo! In the first teaser for #SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse, there are some Hindi comic texts. “It appears that some sequences in the movie will take place in India, or we will see #IndianSpiderMan, Pavitr Prabhakar,” an Indian Marvel fan account suggested.

“It’s official: Spider-Man is coming to India!” “I’m hoping to see Pavitr Prabhakar,” a fan wrote. “I know something is going on in India when I hear Tabla sounds in a Hollywood movie,” said another supporter.

With Spider-Man: India (2004) #1, Pavitr Prabhakar debuted as the Indian Spider-Man. In the comics, the superhero dons a fusion of Spider-Man and Indian attire. While the iconic blue and red suit is featured on the torso, he wears the superhero outfit with a dhoti.

Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson direct Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One). Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, and Oscar Isaac feature in the picture, which will be released in October 2022. The movie will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in India.
