Dave Bautista has shared that he’d prefer to collaborate with Jason Momoa to make a Lethal Weapon-style amigo cop film. Bautista is hot off Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and will next be seen in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, while Momoa will next be found in Sweet Girl. The two entertainers show up in Villeneuve’s Dune, just as the Apple+ unique series See season 2, which debuts on August 27th, 2021.

Bautista took to Twitter to throw out making a Lethal Weapon-style film with both Momoa and chief David Leitch. The idea, just like the case with the real Lethal Weapon series, would be a pal cop film with the two entertainers, apparently as accomplices. While Leitch is presently grinding away on the Brad Pitt-drove Bullet Train and Momoa is shooting Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, there’s potential that everything gatherings could be free for such an undertaking down the line. Bautista himself is at present tied up recording Rian Johnson’s Knives Out spin-off and afterward takes off to play Drax again for chief James Gunn in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, however the thought is no less an interesting one. See Bautista’s tweet beneath:

After the demise of Lethal Weapon chief Richard Donner, the possibilities of the establishment proceeding with the first stars apparently reached a conclusion. Nonetheless, the mate cop or mate couple group up classification is perfectly healthy, as shown by the recently referenced Hobbs and Shaw, just as 2020’s Bad Boys For Life, which was the most elevated earning film of 2020 (with Covid-19 figured in). Godzilla versus Kong is another group up that brought huge achievement, regardless of whether the leads weren’t human, making the idea of a solid pair a conceivably worthwhile one.

With both Bautista and Momoa previously having cooperated on different tasks, it’s entirely achievable that they would collaborate once more, this time for something more smoothed out like Lethal Weapon. Neither star is an alien to activity films and having Leitch on board would unquestionably assist with taking advantage of their big-screen presence together. Clearly, this is an absolutely theoretical idea now, yet more odd things have occurred and with the prevalence of the two entertainers at their stature, there’s no explanation they can’t look for a fantasy project via online media.
