Kerry Washington Will Feature In & Produce Netflix’s ‘Rockaway’

Emmy-winning star Kerry Washington is getting ready for another experience, set to star in and produce ‘Rockaway’ for Netflix. Variety disclosed that the feature film form of Diane Cardwell’s memoir, ‘Rockaway: Surfing Headlong Into a New Life’, will be scripted by NAACP Image Award winner Nichelle Tramble Spellman.

44-year-old Kerry Washington will play a Manhattan journalist who unexpectedly discovers the power of surfing and ends up running from the comfortable life she’s continually known towards a presence of romance and self-discovery in assorted Rockaway Beach. Conveyed in July 2020, ‘Rockaway: Surfing Headlong Into a New Life’ relates the record of Cardwell’s own reconsideration as she discovered the universe of surfing.
