Although filming for “Fast X” wrapped up a year ago, a post-credits scene featuring a guest cameo has recently been shot. This upcoming installment of the successful action franchise will be the first part of a two-part finale for the mainline movies, where Jason Momoa’s character, Dante Reyes, will seek revenge against Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his crew. Alongside familiar faces, “Fast X” will introduce new stars such as Alan Ritchson from “Reacher“, Daniela Melchior from “The Suicide Squad“, and Brie Larson from “Captain Marvel“. However, there could be more surprises in store.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast and crew of “Fast X” reunited to film a post-credits scene just two months before the film’s theatrical release. Sources associated with the production have suggested that the scene could possibly feature a significant guest appearance, but it is unclear whether this will be a new face or a familiar one for fans of the franchise.
Who might be the guest cameo in Fast X?
Over the years, the Fast and Furious franchise has had many high-profile guest appearances, including Ryan Reynolds and musicians such as Iggy Azalea, T-Pain, and Cardi B. However, given that the next film in the series, Fast and Furious 11, is anticipated to conclude the mainline movies, it is more probable that the post-credits scene will focus on setting up the storyline for the final installment, rather than including a fun celebrity cameo like those seen in previous films.
Gal Gadot’s character, Gisele, is a strong contender to appear in the post-credits scene for “Fast X.” She was a former member of Dom’s crew and was Han’s love interest starting in “Fast Five.” Although her character was believed to have been killed off in “Fast & Furious 6,” there has been frequent speculation about her possible return, which Sung Kang, who plays Han, has supported. However, Gadot previously expressed uncertainty about reprising her role. With “F9: The Fast Saga” bringing back Han after his death, it is not impossible for Gisele to still be alive.
It is possible but improbable that Dwayne Johnson, who played Luke Hobbs in the franchise, would appear in the post-credits scene for “Fast X.” Due to his ongoing feud with Vin Diesel that led to his exit from the franchise (except for his role in the “Hobbs & Shaw” spinoff and its potential sequel), it is unlikely that he would return, despite Diesel’s appeals for him to do so. Nevertheless, as “Fast X” ties back to “Fast Five,” which marked Johnson’s debut in the franchise, his appearance would make sense. Alternatively, the post-credits scene could feature a CGI version of Paul Walker, whose character was hinted at in the closing moments of “F9.”
