According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Sandrine Holt has been cast as Vanessa Fisk, the wife of the villainous character Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin), who Vincent D’Onofrio will portray. Holt was one of the first actors to be added to the show’s cast, but her role had been kept under wraps by Marvel, until now. This news comes shortly after another exciting casting announcement earlier in the week, revealing that Jon Bernthal would be reprising his role as The Punisher.
With the addition of Vanessa Fisk to the cast, it appears that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will not only have to contend with one villain in Daredevil: Born Again. While plot details for the upcoming series are being kept under wraps, Marvel has suggested that the show will stay true to the Netflix version, leaving room for speculation about what we can expect. In the third season finale of the Netflix show, Vanessa Fisk was introduced as a potential major villain. Still, unfortunately, her character did not have the opportunity to fully develop before the series was canceled.
