Stranger Things’ star David Harbour reacted to his co-star Noah Schnapp coming out as gay in a recent interview with E! News.
Noah Schnapp who plays the role of ‘Will Byers’ in the Netflix’s blockbuster franchise ‘Stranger Things,’ came out as gay on January 5, this year.
“I’m always happy for people that are true to themselves and come out,” David about Noah’s announcement. “That was terrific.”
Noah posted a TikTok last month sharing how those closest to him reacted to the news. He wrote, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'”
The post was captioned, “I guess I’m more like Will than I thought,” referencing his Stranger Things‘ Character Will Byers. Fans have been debating Will’s sexuality from a very long time. In July last year, Schnapp said Will is “100 percent” gay and hopes his character opens up about it in the fifth instalment of the franchise.
David further talked about the upcoming season. “I have not gotten scripts. I text them like every week, ‘Boys, where are my scripts?!’ I have total confidence. I mean, every season they’ve knocked it out of the park. Each season seems to get better in terms of what the show is. I have complete faith that whenever we get the scripts they’re going to be phenomenal and they’re going to stick the landing. They always do,” he said.
Finn Wolfhard too supports Noah Schnapp’s coming out
Another Stranger Things’ star Finn Wolfhard too earlier reacted to Noah’s announcement in a interview.
“When I saw it, I just had a big smile on my face. I was just really proud of him. We’re not on everyday-text vibes in any way, and not because…do you text your cousins every day? Probably not. They’re our family. We’ll talk on each other’s birthdays. We’ll talk once in a while but in the same way that family works, if I ever needed anything, they’re there,” he said.
