Season 1 Recap
Sex/Life is a drama streaming television series that follows the story of Billie Connelly, a wife and mother living in the suburbs of Connecticut with her husband Cooper and their two children. Billie, who has given up her wild lifestyle for domesticity, finds herself feeling unfulfilled and longs for the excitement of her past.
The show alternates between Billie’s present-day life as a mother and wife, and her memories of her wild past as a young woman living in New York City with her best friend Sasha. Through flashbacks, we see Billie’s steamy and passionate relationship with her ex-boyfriend Brad, a sexy musician, which she has never been able to forget.
As Billie’s past and present collide, she finds herself struggling to reconcile her former self with the life she has now. Her discontentment leads her to reconnect with Brad, which threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect life with Cooper.
The show explores themes of marriage, motherhood, infidelity, and the search for identity and fulfillment. It ends on a cliffhanger, with Billie torn between her old flame and her family, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating the next season.
