Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has won the best music video at this year’s Grammys for her self directed video , ‘All Too Well: The Short Film.’

Swift beat the likes of Adele, BTS, Harry Styles, Doja Cat and Kendrick Lamar to win her second award in the category. She previously won the best music video for her song ‘Bad Blood’ at the 2016 Grammys.

The short film starring stranger things’ Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien was a true piece of art. The visuals in the video were just as powerful as the lyrical content. Ms. Swift yet again proved to the world, how good of a director she is, with this masterpiece.

The Global Icon responded to her win via Twitter. She wrote, “I can’t put into words what this means to me. For the Recording Academy and my peers to acknowledge me as a director, and in doing so, acknowledge my work to try and reclaim my music… I’m blown away. Thank you to all the fans who willed this to happen.”

Taylor Swift snubbed for song of the year

After winning in the best music video category, Taylor’s ‘All Too Well(10 minute version)‘ got snubbed in the song of the year category.

Just when everyone thought Swift was the obvious winner in the category that honours songwriting, recording academy said otherwise. Swift lost to Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Just Like That.’

The fans obviously aren’t happy and couldn’t digest the news as many publications have earlier predicted Swift’s masterpiece to win without any drama.

A frustrated Twitter user wrote, “6 SOTY nominations but 0 wins for the most prolific songwriter of the generation…. You got to be kidding me?????”

The three-time album of the year winner’s hunt for song of the year continues.
