Elizabeth Henstridge, an actor known for her role as Jemma Simmons in the popular TV show Agents of SHIELD, will be stepping behind the camera to direct an episode of the upcoming DC series, Gotham Knights. This new show, which has no connection to the Arrowverse or the video game of the same name, is set to premiere on March 14 on The CW network. It follows the children of some of Batman’s most iconic foes as they try to protect Gotham City after the death of Bruce Wayne. Although Gotham Knights were created by the team behind the hit show Batwoman, it is not considered a spinoff because it is not directly connected to the Arrowverse. The show is being hailed as one of the few new DC series to premiere on The CW this spring.

Elizabeth Henstridge, who is known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe show Agents of SHIELD, will be directing an episode of the first season of Gotham Knights. Henstridge, who has previously directed an episode of Superman & Lois, will be directing episode 10 of the show. No specific premiere date has been announced for this episode yet. This news was announced by Natalie Abrams, one of the show’s creators and co-executive producers, on Twitter.

What characters from DC have been announced for Gotham Knights?

Even while it doesn’t borrow from the video game, Gotham Knights’ premise—that it will follow the next generation of heroes—is comparable. Turner Hayes, Bruce’s adopted son, is falsely accused of his father’s murder when the latter is suddenly slain. While Turner is a unique character for the show, Gotham Knights will also feature a number of DC Comics characters who are falsely accused. Stephanie Brown, also known as Spoiler, is one of the characters that will appear in the show. She is the daughter of the Cluemaster and is portrayed by actress Anna Lore.

The Cullen (Tyler DiChiara) and Harper Row siblings are two more youngsters who will be blamed for the Dark Knight’s demise (Fallon Smythe). Duela, also known as the Joker’s daughter and an additional DC character appearing in Gotham Knights, is played by Olivia Rose Keegan. While he won’t initially appear as Two-Face, Supernatural actor Misha Collins is bringing Harvey Dent to life before taking on the role of the infamous Batman antagonist. Harvey will initially continue serving as the city’s district attorney. Bruce Wayne/Batman will have a presence in the pilot episode of Gotham Knights before his death.

Lincoln March, a minor DC figure with potentially significant links to Bruce, was cast by Gotham Knights before 2022 came to an end. Damon Dayoub was chosen for the role. As Thomas Wayne Jr., Bruce’s long-lost brother, with connections to the Court of Owls, Lincoln claimed to be in the comic books. To avoid confusion with the Earth-3 persona, Lincoln ultimately operated as Owlman. The television adaptation portrays Lincoln as a “charismatic, self-made industrialist with ambitions to become Gotham’s next mayor.” Other DC characters that have not yet been revealed are probably going to appear in Gotham Knights season 1. When Gotham Knights debut on March 14 as a DC television program on The CW, only time will tell how it does.
