James Cameron, the director, has said that Avatar: The Way of Water will profit quickly today and that he will need to start working on more installments in his growing series.

Cameron told Variety in an interview on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?

“It looks like with the momentum that the film has now that we’ll easily pass our break even in the next few days, so it looks like I can’t wiggle out of this and I’m gonna have to do these other sequels… I know what I’m going to be doing the next six or seven years

The filmmaker went on to explain where the series is with regard to its numerous endeavors, including the recently-started Avatar 3. Cameron clarified: “The entire movie has already been recorded and photographed, so we are in a lengthy post-production phase to do all the CG wizardry. Then the script for “Avatar 4” and “5” are written. Even some of the number “4” is in the container. At this stage, a franchise has started. We’ve started a story that might potentially span several movies.”

Although he recently gave indications about what viewers may anticipate from the Na’vi, Cameron has not revealed many specifics regarding Avatar 3. He specifically mentioned that the forthcoming movie would feature the “Ash people,” who will assist in showcasing an alternative aspect of Pandora’s indigenous population. “In the earlier Avatar films, there were both poor human examples and excellent examples among the Navi. In Avatar 3, the opposite will be true.”
