After being hurt in an accident on Sunday, Jeremy Renner’s health has been described as “serious but stable,” according to his spokeswoman. The event happened as the actor was shovelling snow. A representative for the actor said in a statement to Variety, “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.”

The actor was airlifted to the hospital, according to Deadline, who was the first to report the incident. The Reno-Gazette Journal reports that Renner owns a home at Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, which is 25 miles away from Reno. On New Year’s Eve, this area was slammed by a snow storm that may have caused up to 35,000 houses in the counties of Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Lyon in Northern Nevada to lose power. As many as 60 people have reportedly perished in what New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has dubbed “the storm of the century.”

The two-time Oscar nominee has recently used his social media accounts to post photographs of him and his family enjoying fun in the snow. One such video, as described by Renner, “What’s the best part of your week? A spring afternoon, family play session in the mountains? I’m with an Irish coffee/cocoa on the sidelines #reno #laketahoe #waiting for heat (red heart emojis)”.
