The first Outlander Season 7 trailer, poster, and release date were announced by Starz. The TV series, which is based on Diana Gabaldon‘s internationally bestselling Outlander book series, tells the tale of Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a World War II nurse who is eerily transported into the year 1743 Scotland and begins a new life there.

The Outlander season 7 teaser trailer has already been released, barely a few months after the show’s filming had finished. Outlander season 7 is scheduled to premiere on Starz in the summer of 2023, and it appears that Claire will meet a terrible end as a result of everything that has happened. Even though Claire and Jamie are looking toward their future together, Claire’s fate in the upcoming season appears to be grim, with a noose hanging around her neck at one point in the film and her participating in a funeral procession.

What to expect in Outlander Season 7?

According to reports, the seventh season of Outlander will centre on Diana Gabaldon’s 2009 book “An Echo in the Bone.” Outlander season 7 will, however, do more than just continue the story of Claire and Jamie. It will also bring back some old characters and introduce some new ones. Graham McTavish, who is currently starring in House of the Dragon, has already been confirmed by Starz to return in the role of Dougal MacKenzie, Jamie’s deceased uncle. Lotte Verbeek is also anticipated to return in the role of former captor Geillis Duncan. Meanwhile, Steven Cree, who played Jamie’s friend Ian, will return. In their separate roles as Brian Fraser (Jamie’s father), Laoghaire, and Joan McKimmie, Andrew Whipp, Nell Hudson, and Layla Burns return.

In Season 7, Claire and her husband Jaime (Sam Heughan) will continue traversing the New World, as the new teaser indicates. In the upcoming season, new actors Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter will all make their debuts.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood, a prequel spinoff series, is expanding the series’ universe while fans are anticipating Season 7 of the popular drama. In order to give viewers a completely unique story they can’t get anywhere else, the series will portray the tale of Jaime’s parents by departing from the original literary source. Before the events of Outlander, both of Jaime’s parents passed away, thus the prequel will delve into new ground while providing us with more heated historical drama. Outlander: Blood of My Blood is regrettably still in the early stages of development and has no set release date. Check out the trailer below:
