Jack Quaid is celebrating the holidays by donning a festive sweater with a The Boys motif. Since the subversive superhero series’ 2019 Prime Video premiere, Quaid has played the role of Hughie Campbell in the main cast. After his fiancée is slain by A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), a superhero with a heroin addiction and the ability to travel at the speed of light, Hughie, a civilian, joins The Boys, a vigilante gang out to take down The Seven.

You’ve heard of Hughie on a Buoy, but what about Jack in a Jumper?, the official The Boys Twitter account posed alongside a behind-the-scenes image of Quaid wearing a sweater with a Boys-inspired pattern (complete with Homelander’s distinctive eagle insignia). The sweater was manufactured just for the celebrity, but the company said in a subsequent tweet that they are considering reproducing the style to maybe sell to the general public in the next year. What will The Boys be tackling in the coming year?

2023 is going to be a terrific year for The Boys fans, despite the fact that the show has been off the air since the conclusion of season 3 this past summer. One reason is that they are presently filming season 4, which was formally renewed in June, in the middle of the current season’s run. The season will also mark Jensen Ackles’ return as Soldier Boy, a Captain America parody who joined the show this year and was later revealed to have a closer relationship to one of the pre-existing characters than first thought. The season will feature a presidential run that is unlikely to end well.

Although The Boys is not the first overall series to be spun out, the first live-action spin-off is getting ready to debut in 2023. With The Boys Presents: Diabolical, an animated anthology series that debuted its eight-episode season 1 this past March and featured cameos by The Boys cast members Dominique McElligott, Antony Starr, and Chace Crawford among others, the brand has already gone outside the main branch. With the series The Boys: Gen V, however, there will be a lot more to come.

The new spinoff of The Boys will follow a fresh batch of young superheroes who are undergoing training at the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, a Vought International establishment loosely modeled after the X-Men parody group known as the G-Men, who were first introduced in volume four of the original comic book series. They will compete against one another in a Hunger Games-inspired matchup that is guaranteed to bring back some of the original series’ violent and wild pleasure.  Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, Lizzie Broadway, Jaz Sinclair, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Shelley Conn, and Patrick Schwarzenegger will all participate in Gen V as cast members, while Usher has been confirmed to make a cameo appearance as A-Train.
