Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, responds to speculations that his character may appear in Deadpool 3. Deadpool 3, which is expected for release in late 2024, will mark Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth’s official entry into the MCU after two successful solo excursions. The movie, which will be helmed by Shawn Levy, is anticipated to be the first R-rated entry in the MCU.

There are still many unanswered mysteries surrounding the movie’s actual plot, but Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine role will be reprised after he appeared to say goodbye in 2017’s Logan was confirmed a few months ago. However, in light of Cox’s own remarks, there are already speculations that another hero might be joining the fray. Cox now clarifies whether his hero will make an appearance in the upcoming movie after hinting that Daredevil might have a place in Deadpool 3 given the tone of the film.

The actor recently spoke with TechRadar and confirmed that, no, Daredevil won’t be in Deadpool 3, and that his earlier remark was just some light-hearted speculation. Cox said, “Oh god, what did I say again? Oh yeah, I said that in Germany, didn’t I? I can tell you now, I’m definitely not in Deadpool 3. If it ends up being true, I’ve inadvertently spoiled something. If it isn’t, fans who are excited about something I say will end up being disappointed.”

Would such an MCU team-up between Daredevil and Deadpool ever happen?

Although Cox’s statement makes it clear that fans won’t see Daredevil in Deadpool 3, there is still a chance that the two heroes may cross paths in the future. How Reynolds’ obnoxious hero will actually fit into the MCU is currently a mystery. There are still some unanswered questions about how Levy’s movie will ultimately fit into the larger MCU and how Reynolds’ character might appear in more substantial team-up films like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars, even though Deadpool 3 has been confirmed to have a R rating and the same levels of violence and language as previous instalments.

When more details about Daredevil: Born Again, the upcoming Disney+ reboot series for Cox’s hero, is revealed, it might really be clearer whether Daredevil and Deadpool could collaborate in the future. In the future, it might be decided to script Deadpool in a more family-friendly style for team-up movies or television shows, which might pave the way for a confrontation with Daredevil. There are still many unanswered concerns about how precisely Deadpool 3 will fit into the bigger MCU, but as of right now, it appears that Cox’s hero won’t be in the movie.
