Fans may still enjoy the live-action Back to the Future trilogy of films from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, which starred Michael J. Fox as adolescent Marty McFly and Lloyd as scientist Emmett “Doc” Brown, despite the apparent impossibility of an animated series in the near future. Marty is unintentionally transported to 1955 in the original 1985 movie, which follows him as he does so aboard a Doc Brown-built DeLorean. Marty threatens to have himself removed from existence after mistakenly causing his mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) to fall in love with him rather than his father George (Crispin Glover). Marty needs to get back to 1985 and reconnect with his parents before time runs out with Doc Brown’s assistance.
