How long will we have to wait before Netflix finally releases Cobra Kai season 6? We can certainly see why so many individuals are asking about this issue now. You best believe this is annoying because it has been almost three months after the season 5 premiere and there is still no word on the future.
We’ve previously talked about in the past why we haven’t officially been renewed for season 6, and the main justification seems to be procedural or financial in nature. That’s not something we’re going to worry about too much. We believe that we don’t need to worry about the show’s future because the actors and crew still appear to care about it enough to frequently attend fan conventions.
The wait has been the longest yet!
Finding a start date for a series that hasn’t begun production is the true challenge right now, especially for a streaming service like Netflix where all of the episodes often come out at once. It seems less probable that season 6 will air next year the longer we go without a renewal. At the very least, we don’t anticipate seeing it in September.
Are we about to experience the longest break in the show’s history? We are a little hesitant to say that, partly because it took about 19 months from the conclusion of season 2 on YouTube to the debut of season 3 on Netflix. If we had to wait so long, we’d be surprised. Even if we have to wait until January or February 2024, it still only leaves us with around 16 or 17 months. Don’t get us wrong, it is a long break, but it is one that can be tolerated, especially in light of the length of the breaks for some other shows.
