Charlie Cox recently discussed how the Daredevil: Born Again’s transition to Disney+ would impact it. Between 2015 and 2018, three seasons of Daredevil were originally broadcast on Netflix. The Defenders franchise on Netflix, which also included Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, was built around this show, which followed the vigilante escapades of blind lawyer Matt Murdock.

Ahead of the premiere of his Disney+ reboot series, Cox’s daredevil has already made appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is despite the fact that Marvel severed all ties with the entire Netflix universe. Cox just had a conversation with NME about his new Netflix series Treason. But naturally the subject turned to his coming back as Daredevil. While Cox is unsure of the specifics of the upcoming 18-episode Daredevil: Born Again, he made an educated guess as to how the show’s transition to Disney+ will impact its tone. The figure still requires a certain level of darkness to work correctly, but “it probably won’t be as gory,” he revealed.

Cox said, “My opinion is this character works best when he’s geared towards a slightly more mature audience. My instinct is that on Disney+ it will be dark but it probably won’t be as gory. I would say to those people, we’ve done that. Let’s take the things that really worked, but can we broaden? Can we appeal to a slightly younger audience without losing what we’ve learned about what works?”

Prior to the commencement of shooting next year, the plot of Daredevil: Born Again is being closely guarded. Many assumed Jen Walters would make an appearance on Born Again in some capacity after his recent appearance on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, where they first meet and instantly click romantically and physically. Tatiana Maslany played Jen Walters. Margarita Levieva is reportedly joining the show as Daredevil’s love interest. This information was purportedly revealed in a recent casting announcement. Walters could still be in the show, despite the fact that this doesn’t rule her out, since it might be a sign that the romance in the new series is taking a different turn.

Fans can get the closest to anticipating the new plotlines of Daredevil: Born Again by looking at what has already been announced, even though the whole cast has not been made public. For instance, it has been announced that Vincent D’Onofrio would reprise his role as Kingpin, the Daredevil villain who first appeared in the MCU in Hawkeye’s season finale in 2021 while displaying increased strength that could indicate the acquisition of a superpower.
