The first image of Loki Season 2 has Tom Hiddleston looking rather dapper as the God of Mischief.

Disney+ has posted a 30-second teaser video for its upcoming 2023 schedule on its Twitter account, narrated by Hiddleston. Hiddleston reminds viewers that more Loki is coming by showcasing a brief clip from new Season 2 footage that shows Loki dressed in upscale attire that Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) thinks is “a little over the top” after showcasing eagerly awaited series like Ahsoka, Secret Invasion, and The Mandalorian Season 3 have been shown.

After the startling Season 1 ending of the Disney+ series Loki, in which the title character and his female counterpart Sylvie encountered a Kang the Conqueror variation known as He Who Remains, Loki Season 2 will take up. Sylvie finally murdered He Who Remains before returning Loki to the Time Variance Authority’s offices. The God of Mischief immediately discovered that his coworkers B-15 and Mobius had stopped recognizing him despite initially seeming to be the same TVA. The episode’s cliffhanger hinted that He Who Remains had been replaced as TVA head by a new Kang variant. According to the first look trailer, Mobius will likely recall his prankster buddy and companion as the two set off on another adventure to preserve the multiverse.

Season 2 of Loki Discovers Its Villain

Jonathan Majors has not yet been officially confirmed to return as Kang or one of his several variations in Loki Season 2. Although he is ostensibly not present, the Disney+ series has cast Kate Dickie, who is best known for portraying Lady Lysa Arryn on Game of Thrones from 2011 to 2014, to play a new, unnamed opponent in the future season. The Everything Everywhere All at Once star Ke Huy Quan was confirmed to have joined the series back in September 2022, making the Scottish actor the most recent high-profile addition to the Loki ensemble. According to reports, Quan will take on the role of “Oroborus,” also known as “B-O,” the Time Variance Authority’s head of technology (TVA).

Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer in Loki Season 2, along with Eugene Cordero as Casey/Hunter K-5E, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and Rafael Casal in an unspecified role.

After impressing Marvel with their work on Moon Knight, the filmmaking team of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead helmed the entirety of Loki Season 2. Eric Martin, who succeeded Michael Waldron as Loki’s lead writer and is still on board as an executive producer, wrote each of the six episodes.

Season 2 of Loki will debut in the summer of 2023, while Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
