The seventh and final season of The CW drama series got its first look, with Archie, Jughead, Betty, and Veronica dressed appropriately for the time period. The showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, has indicated that Season 7 would be “in dialogue with the American myth of what the 1950s were against the reality,” however storyline specifics for the forthcoming season are presently being kept mostly under wraps.

After the shocking Season 6 conclusion, in which Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) managed to destroy the comet that was endangering Riverdale’s very life, Riverdale Season 7 continues. But by killing Bailey’s Comet, Archie and his pals were unintentionally sent to 1955, when they are once more in high school and have no recollection of the earlier timeline. Although Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) knows what happened before the timeline reset, according to Riverdale’s Season 6 finale, Aguirre-cliffhanger Sacasa’s “gets addressed at the conclusion of episode 1.”

The Next Season of Riverdale Will Have More Realism

The first season of Riverdale was realistic and grounded, but subsequent seasons introduced supernatural ideas like time travel, magic, and the multiverse. Season 7 will return the show to its basic beginnings, according to Aguirre-Sacasa, who told EW that it “is perhaps, bizarrely, our most grounded season.” This is consistent with what Petsch previously said about the forthcoming season, which was that “this season is extremely grounded and focused around people” except from “one very huge occurrence in [Cheryl’s] family life that’s odd and fantastic.” The actor went on: “You’re really starting to see what made the first season of the program so unique the connections in the community. Although the madness is less intense this season, strange things are still occurring.”

Riverdale has had six seasons and 117 episodes since its January 2017 launch. A strong ensemble cast, including KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, and Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, make up the CW program, which is a fan favorite. Along with Drew Ray Tanner as Fangs Fogarty, Charles Melton as Reggie Mantle, Vanessa Morgan as Toni Topaz, Mädchen Amick as Alice Smith, and Erinn Westbrook as Tabitha Tate, the drama series also stars Charles Melton as Reggie Mantle. In a guest role as Ethel Muggs and Hal Cooper, respectively, former cast members Shannon Purser and Lochlyn Munro will also return for the last season.
