Spinning Gold’s official trailer, which examines Neil Bogart’s climb to become the founder of Casablanca Records, has just been released.
The rock band KISS, as well as Donna Summer, Parliament, Gladys Knight, The Isley Brothers, The Village People, and Bill Withers, all achieved their musical zeniths under the careful eye of Bogart, the man behind Casablanca Records, the most prosperous independent record label in history.
According to the official description, Neil and Casablanca Records will rewrite history and transform the music industry for all time with the help of a motley crew of youthful music enthusiasts. The movie event of Neil Bogart’s musical odyssey and how his Casablanca Records produced the greatest soundtrack of our lives is presented in a tale so fantastic that it can only be real.
Jason Isaacs plays Al Bogatz, Lyndsy Fonseca plays Joye Biawitz, Chris Redd plays Frankie Crocker, Casey Likes plays Gene Simmons, and Sebastian Maniscalco plays Giorgio Moroder in the movie Spinning Gold. Jeremy Jordan plays Bogart, Michelle Monaghan plays Beth Weiss, Jay Pharoah plays Cecil Holmes, Dan Fogler plays Buck Reingold, and Jay Pharoah plays Jason Issacs.
Wiz Khalifa will portray George Clinton, Jason Derulo will portray Ron Isley of the Isley Brothers, Pink Sweat$ will portray Bill Withers, Grammy Award contender Tayla Parx will portray Donna Summer, and multi-Grammy winner Ledisi will portray Gladys Knight.
Paul Stanley will be portrayed by Sam Harris, Peter Chris by Alex Gaskarth, and Donna Summer by Tayla Parx.
Nancy Weiss is portrayed by Payton List, Larry Harris by James Wolk, Bill Aucoin by Michael Ian Black, Big Joey by Vincent Pastore, and Mo Ostin by Nick Sandow, among other roles.
The film Spinning Gold was written, directed, and produced by Timothy Scott Bogart. The production also included contributions from Jessica Martins, Laurence Mark, Gary A. Randall, Chris Torto, Bradley Bogart, and David Haring. The soundtrack for the movie will be released by Atlantic Records, and executive producers on the project include Harvey Mason, Jr., Kevin Weaver, a president of Atlantic Records, and Grammy Award-winning music producer Evan “Kidd” Bogart.
On March 31, 2023, Spinning Gold is slated for release in theatres.
