Payback is an upcoming Korean television series starring Lee Sun-kyun, Moon Chae-won, Kang Yoo-seok, and Park Hoon. It is slated to release on January 6, 2023 on SBS TV, and will air every Friday and Saturday at 22:00. In the tv series, characters risk everything to take on a financial cartel that has been working with the authorities. They battle fervently and in their own manner against inept and unfair power because they won’t keep quiet about it.
Moon Chae Won will play Army Major Park Joon Kyung, a distinguished judge who passed the bar exam and received the highest grades at the training centre. Park Joon Kyung graduated from the training centre with honours. Despite being the most morally honest and righteous of prosecutors, Park Joon Kyung vows icy retaliation once her mother is taken by a horrible evil and passes away in a way that leaves many issues unresolved.
The recently released images show Park Joon Kyung in a military uniform, just before the start of a military trial, standing in a secret stairwell at a court. Her charisma is highlighted by her sharp eyes. Something triggers bells in her thoughts as she searches for news on her phone. She gathers herself, though, and departs as soon as she learns that the trial is about to begin.
Moon Chae Won described her first-day experience working on the show. She said, “The first filming was like the starting line where I actually got to experience what I’d only imagined while reading the script, and it was a time when we could start sharing opinions and working together. I’m also looking forward to showing viewers another side of myself through Park Joon Kyung’s character. So please look forward to ‘Payback,’ which will begin airing soon.”
