The White Lotus returns for a second season after a successful first one, with a plot set in Sicily, Italy. Tanya, played by Jennifer Coolidge, was the only first-season character to return for Season 2. Other new cast members included Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Tom Hollander, Simona Tabasco, and Meghann Fahy.

The HBO series’ second season introduced us to several people, all of whom had vacationed at the White Lotus’ coasts but whose lives were shown to become interwoven by the conclusion. Daphne (Meghann Fahy), one of the survivors from the holiday group, discovered a body while swimming. The first episode of the series hinted at death, and the series’ conclusion eventually revealed who it was.

Tanya (Coolidge), who perished after falling from a yacht in the series’ sad finale, was discovered dead by Daphne. Tanya was partying with Quentin (Tom Hollander), the affluent homosexual stranger she made an acquaintance with on the Sicily trip after her husband Greg (John Gries) deserted her during their holiday, in the penultimate episode. In the finale, Tanya discovers a disturbing reality after discovering from her secretary Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) that Quentin and his “nephew” Jack (Leo Woodall) are not who they seem to be and were recruited by Greg to kill her for the money.

The showrunner suggested that the program will return for a third season while he was chatting with The Hollywood Reporter. Maybe you’ll have to wait to learn what happens, he added. White claims the third season will be a continuation of the first two, which focused on money and sex, respectively “A sarcastic and humorous examination of mortality, eastern mysticism, and religion. A second visit to White Lotus seems like it may be a rich tapestry.”
