Robert Downey Jr.

Robert Downey Jr. shows what he misses most about living a piece of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Downey Jr. starred in the MCU’s foremost installment, the 2008 film Iron Man, and would go on to emerge in a total of 11 films in the franchise. Portraying billionaire brainiac Tony Stark, Downey Jr. began in three Iron Man films and four Avengers movies, earning Tony one of the MCU’s most essential and main personalities. After 11 years in the MCU, Downey Jr. left the franchise when Tony offered himself in the 2019 Avengers: Endgame, the conclusive movie in The Infinity Saga. Even behind Tony’s death, his power persists on in the MCU, with his gift often being referenced in following Marvel movies.

Iron Man Fame Robert Downey Jr. Reveals What He Misses Most About The Marvel World 2

In a discussion with Deadline, Downey Jr. shows what he misses most around the MCU. Downey Jr. states he misses being in the tracks with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige for so many years and running through trips with each Iron Man director. He even moves on to honor directors Jon Favreau, Shane Black, and the Russo Brothers, who each earned Downey Jr.’s time in the MCU unique, and who supported him welcome Tony Stark from beginning to finish. What do I miss most? Living in the tracks with Kevin Feige over; the front, with Jon Favreau, it’s like a lovely plan now; the standard, with Shane Black on Iron Man 3, we’d just had Exton and hit it, especially in Wilmington N.C. It was idyllic and provocative. And The End, when I discovered I’d made so many intimate companions in the MCU cast, the Russo Brothers allowed me to welcome Tony’s arc.

Though Marvel fans were crushed to visit Tony die in Avengers: Endgame, Downey Jr. has recalled several moments in the past on how rewarding playing the personality was, and how he handled it like he understood when to quit. Downey Jr. stated that he had an amazing 10-year run that was creatively moving, but that he was all accomplished with Marvel films. Considerably like Tony in Avengers: Endgame, Downey Jr. has stated that he likes to concentrate more on his home and his philanthropic work and that it was a satisfactory moment for him to exit the franchise in the writings of the next era of heroes.
