The Franchise Will Reboot with “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts”

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be a relaunch of the Transformers franchise and not a sequel’ in disguise. In an interview with Black Girl Nerds, the movie’s lead Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) and director Steven Caple Jr. made this revelation. Rise of the Beasts’ status as a reboot has not been established before (though with the various storylines, this does make sense).

Caple Jr. did admit that his Transformers movie will be a reboot of the brand when asked what viewers may anticipate from the tone and themes of the picture. The franchise won’t have a live-action movie until Rise of the Beasts, following 2018’s Bumblebee, which most distinguished itself from the earlier Michael Bay movies. Naturally, Bay will continue to make Rise of the Beasts. It is anticipated that the upcoming movie, which is set in 1994, would loosely follow Bumblebee, which took place in the 1980s.

The fact that Rise of the Beasts is a reboot fits in perfectly with the remainder of Caple Jr.’s remarks, especially those about Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen). While most fans—particularly those of Michael Bay’s films—view the Autobot commander Optimus as a heroic rescuer of Earth, Caple Jr. claimed that in reality, the character is wary of people and just wants to get home.. This fact is highly intriguing given that the beginning of Bumblebee took place on Cybertron.

It’s reassuring to know that Rise of the Beasts is a reboot because fans had been worried about that possibility. Even though the first of Michael Bay’s movies had a great (financially speaking) start in 2007, the franchise had run its course ten years later when Paramount and Hasbro lost about $100 million on Transformers: The Last Knight. Let’s hope Rise of the Beasts proves to be the next step in the right way as Bumblebee did better commercially and critically.

The stars of Rise of the Beasts are Ramos and Dominique Fishback. The movie will feature the voices of many performers, including Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, the commander of the Maximals. Additionally, the movie has voice performances for Peter Dinklage, Pete Davidson, and Michelle Yeoh. Cullen, who played Optimus Prime in all of Bay’s films (along with Bumblebee), reprises his role.

The Beast Wars plotline, a favorite among fans, is adapted in the film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The movie will make the Autobots and Maximals realize they must cooperate to defeat the Terrorcons, a dangerous Transformers faction that has not yet been brought to the big screen. Additionally, it is claimed that the film is a global adventure, which will undoubtedly result in some amazing action set pieces.

On June 9 of next year, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will hit theaters.
