Robert de Niro, a legendary actor, will reportedly star in and produce the new thriller miniseries Zero Day, which Netflix is collaborating on. Eric Newman and Noah Oppenheim are the writers, executive producers, and creators of Netflix’s Zero Day, with Newman providing the story. Newman is a well-known Netflix writer and producer who has contributed to shows like Narcos, The Watcher, Rebel Moon, Spiderhead, and more.
De Niro was nominated for seven Academy Awards, but only took home two: best supporting actor for The Godfather Part II and best actor for Raging Bull. Additionally, he has been nominated for a number of Emmy awards, including best actor for his portrayal of Bernie Madoff in HBO’s Wizard of Lies. Along with Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne, Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson, and Whoopi Goldberg, De Niro recently finished production on Tony Goldwyn’s upcoming film Inappropriate Behavior.

It will be the Oscar-winning actor’s first series regular role, following in the footsteps of iconic roles such as The Godfather, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and many more. As previously stated, De Niro will play a former President of the United States. De Niro starred in the Oscar-nominated film The Irishman for Netflix.
When will Zero Day be available on Netflix?
The scripts are currently being written for Netflix’s Zero Day series, which is currently in very early development. It won’t start production until well into 2023, which is a considerable amount of time away.
Because the series is still in its early stages of development, it’s too early to talk about release dates, but we could guess sometime in 2024. The number of episodes in Zero Day is unknown, but we can probably expect 6 or 8 episodes. As previously stated, this is a limited series with only one season.
