Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight is a DreamWork Television Netflix Original series based on the hit children’s animated franchise of the same name that premiered in July 2022. We can now confirm that Netflix will release a season 2 of the show in the near future.
Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, created for television by Mitch Watson and Peter Hastings, sees Po teaming up with an English knight named Wandering Blade to find a collection of four power weapons. The series brought back Jack Black to reprise his role as Po, as well as Rita Ora, Nolan North, Della Saba, Chris Geere, Amy Hill, and James Hong.
You would be both right and wrong if you assumed that the animated project had received a swift renewal. The fact that the show is coming back for a second season suggests that Netflix commissioned an upfront number of episodes as part of the initial upfront deal.

As you can see, the second season of the show culminates in a dramatic two-part event with a title influenced by the classic film Apocalypse Now. Po and the gang begin Season 2 by travelling to India in search of Rukhiini’s former friend Diya. They are hoping to get assistance there in their search for Tianshang’s weapons.
Diya in the upcoming season has been portrayed by Deepti Gupta. Gupta is well-known for her roles in the HBO series Barry and the Disney television series High School Musical: The Musical.
The show’s writers continue to be Jasmine Chiong, Shane Lynch, Ben Mekler, Christopher Amick, and Joy Regullano.
Although no date has been set for release as of yet, we anticipate that the upcoming season will be available on Netflix soon. It was left off the schedule for December 2022, so it probably won’t be released until January 2023 or soon after.
