Bleach has returned in recent weeks for its new anime series, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War. With new episodes released every week, Netflix subscribers have been left wondering if the anime series is available on the streaming service. The series is only available in a few countries on Netflix.
The Bleach manga, one of Japan’s most popular fictional franchises, began in Weekly Shnen Jump in August 2001 and ended fifteen years later in August 2016. During this time, the animation studio Pierrot produced an anime adaptation of Bleach, which ran for 366 episodes between 2004 and 2012.
Fans, however, were left anticipating that the final arc of the series, Thousand Year Blood War, would get an anime adaptation because the anime series ended before author Tite Kubo finished the manga. It was formally revealed in March 2020 that the last arc would have an anime adaptation and act as a prequel to the first Bleach series.

Is it possible to watch Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War on Netflix?
Unfortunately, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is not available on Netflix in the United States. If you want to watch the series in the United States, you’ll need a Hulu subscription. Many anime fans expected the series to be available on Crunchyroll, but Disney paid a premium to have the exclusive licence to stream Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War on Hulu. With Disney entering the anime fray, Netflix will face increased competition for the streaming rights to new and popular anime series. Bleach Thousand Year Blood War is available on Disney+ outside of the United States.
