Will Smith and his family, wife Jada Pinkett Smith, children Trey, Jaden, and Willow Smith arrived for the Emancipation movie premiere. Will and Jada walked the red carpet together for the first time at the premiere after the Oscars slap incident. In a recent interview, the actor also talked about it.

Will showed up for the Emancipation movie premiere on the red carpet wearing a maroon three-piece suit and a pink dress shirt. The actor’s wife, Jada, joined him. She wore a white ballgown with jewelled adornments. It ended up being a family night for Will since Jaden, Willow, and Trey, the son he shares with his partner, were there to support him.

After winning this year’s Best Actor Academy Award, Smith’s first significant film release will be Emancipation. The actor’s bizarre night included not only winning the night’s top honour but also courting controversy after slapping comedian Chris Rock on stage for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Will Smith recently discussed the “horrific” Oscars night in depth when he appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. The actor claimed that his response came from “bottled rage.”

Smith explained, “It’s like there’s all these things, and they’re strangers, and you just don’t know what is going on with people. And I was going through something that night. Not that that justifies my behaviour at all.” Will previously apologised to the comedian in a social media video and called his actions unacceptable, “I can say to all of you there is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment.”
