Jonathan Kasdan, the creator of Willow, has disclosed a secret cameo appearance in episode 1 by an actor from the original film. Warwick Davis reprises his role as Willow Ufgood, a Nelwyn who desired to become a potent sorcerer, in the new Disney+ series, which is a sequel to the 1988 Ron Howard fantasy film of the same name and is a cult classic. Willow, which takes place 20 years after the movie’s events, centers on Princess Kit (Ruby Cruz), the daughter of Queen Sorsha (Joanne Whalley), who embarks on a mission to rescue her twin brother Airk (Dempsey Bryk) from the clutches of evil.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kasdan disclosed a brief appearance by an actor from the Willow movie in episode 1 of Willow. The lanky hero in the 1988 movie left his Nelwyn hamlet to return a mystery baby named Elora Danan to her folks. The malevolent Queen Bavmorda (Jean Mars), who believes the child is destined to overthrow her, tries to kill the infant. According to Kasdan, one of the three newborns who played Elora in the original movie made a brief appearance in the first episode of the series. The showrunner’s comments are below.

Will Elora Fulfill the Willow Prophecy?

Although Elora’s role was not disclosed in the Willow advertising materials, Brünhilde was revealed to be the future Empress of Tir Asleen by the episode’s conclusion. Sorsha made the decision to keep Elora’s identity a secret from everyone, including Elora herself, when Bavmorda was defeated and the forces of evil were expelled from the region. She was not taught magic as a child, choosing to work as a chef and kitchen maid for the queen and her court.

The character with the most transformation to go through is frequently the one who is chosen to set off on the quest in stories that use the Hero’s Journey pattern. Elora still has a long way to go before fully understanding who she is and the immense power she possesses, much like Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter, two boys who were nurtured far from their calling. Elora will probably meet a fate as she finally realizes her destiny if the Willow sequel series follows the tried-and-true story format.
