The first teaser trailer for a forthcoming Netflix documentary on Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle included the line, “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

A minute-long video, an artwork reveal, and the official Netflix series announcement for Harry & Meghan have all been released today. Story Syndicate Production, in collaboration with the royal couple’s Archewell Productions and Diamond Docs, is producing the six-part series.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will “share the other side of their high-profile love story,” according to Netflix, which also notes that “over the course of six episodes, the series explores the covert days of their early courtship and the difficulties that forced them to feel forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.”

Unofficially, the documentary was supposed to premiere on Netflix in December after The Crown debuted on November 9. However, it was postponed when Season 5 of the streaming service’s royal drama The Crown received negative reviews. The series is referred to as “coming soon” in today’s release.

Liz Garbus, an Emmy winner, and two-time Academy Award nominee is in charge of the direction.

Executive producers include Erica Sashin, Mark Monroe, Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Ben Browning, Chanel Pysnik, Jon Bardin, Mala Chapple, and Angus Wall.
