Wednesday, Netflix’s Addams Family spin-off, has received high praise from fans, leading many to speculate that a Season 2 is in the works. Netflix renewal status of Wednesday Season 2
Wednesday has been on Netflix for a week as of the time of this update. While we expected Wednesday to start strong on Netflix, it actually outperformed our expectations in the first week. Wednesday has accumulated a total of 341,230,000 Million Hours of view time in the first five days. When compared to some of Netflix’s most popular shows, the graph below shows that Wednesday has the potential to be as popular as Stranger Things season 4 and Dahmer.
Wednesday has not only captured the attention of millions of subscribers, but the series, and particularly Jenna Ortega’s performance as Wednesday Addams, has received widespread praise on social media. Currently, it’s difficult to scroll through a Twitter feed or your TikTok FYP without seeing someone imitating Wednesday’s Rave’N dance or simply praising Jenna Ortega for her performance.
We had always assumed that Wednesday would be renewed. And, thanks to its strong start on Netflix, our expectations for a renewal have only grown stronger. If Wednesday is not renewed, social media may experience a total meltdown.
