The trailer for That ’90s Show has been released on YouTube by the Netflix channel. Since the announcement of the spinoff more than a year ago, fans of That ’70s Show have been eagerly anticipating the series. Kurtwood Smith (RoboCop, Broken Arrow) and Debra Jo Rupp (She’s Out of My League, WandaVision) will return for the ten-episode series. It appears to be in the style of the original 1998 Fox show, which aired for eight seasons.
Red and Kitty Forman are back for an exciting new season of That 70s Show, which will be available exclusively on Netflix. We’ve got all the details on the Netflix comedy, which is set to premiere in January 2023.
The daughter of Eric and Donna visits her grandparents for the summer in the new series, which is set in 1995. She quickly befriends new children residing in Point Place, Wisconsin (more on these friends is provided below). The original series’ co-creators, Bonnie and Terry Turner, will take over as showrunners. Gregg Mettler, who worked on the original show, and their daughter Lindsey Turner will both contribute to the writing process.
New Cast Members for Netflix’s That 90s Show
Let’s go over the new characters we revealed in early February and the cast members who were confirmed to play them a few days later.
Jay is played by Mace Coronel, who is pictured at the top left. Jay, a true romantic, is an aspiring film director who is always carrying around his camera. Coronel recently played Jake in Netflix’s Colin in Black & White.
Callie Haverda portrays Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace’s character from That 70s Show) and Donna (Laura Prepon’s character from That 70s Show), who is described as book smart and coltish. Haverda is best known for his work on The Lost Husband.
Ashley Aufderheide plays Gwen, who is described as a petite and edgy powerhouse who dresses with pink hair and ripped jeans. Going in Style is Aufderheide’s most well-known work from 2017.
Ozzie, played by Reyn Doi, is Gwen’s best friend who is gay and not afraid to show it. Also described as incredibly truthful. Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar recently featured Doi.
Nate, played by Maxwell Acee Donovan, is Gwen’s older brother who is described as a corn-fed Midwestern who drives around in a beat-up old Dodge minivan.
Samantha Morelos, who plays
Nikki (previously named Nisha) – pictured bottom right – This female character comes from a family of overachievers, and while she’s bright and always willing to help, she also has a rebellious streak. Nate is also her boyfriend.
When will That 90s Show be available on Netflix?
The new Netflix series will premiere on January 19th, 2023. Season 1 will have ten 22-minute episodes.
