Dwayne Johnson had to struggle to reintroduce Henry Cavill’s Superman. The actor has explained why Cavill’s comeback is so significant to him. Cavill’s Superman is essential to the expansion of the DC Universe, according to the Black Adam star, who is presently relishing in the success of his newest DC Universe picture.

Cavill has been AWOL from the Superman franchise since his previous appearance in 2017’s Justice League. In the Black Adam film, the famous superhero actor returns to the franchise as his version of Superman. Following the unexpected digital release of Black Adam this week, Johnson, also known as The Rock, turned to Twitter to give a special video message concerning the future of his series.

The Red Notice actor, 50, praised Cavill’s Superman. “In whatever world, we must bring back the most powerful, unstoppable force of all time.” It’s Superman, you know whom I’m talking about. “That’s Henry Cavill,” he announced. “At the end of the day, the studio was not bringing Henry back, strangely and inexcusably, but we weren’t going to accept no for an answer,” Johnson explained.

“There’s no feasible logical method for us to build up the DC Universe without the most powerful force and the greatest superhero of all time sitting on the sidelines,” the Jungle Cruise star stated. You can draw a Venn diagram of this issue 90 times, but it all boils down to, ‘Where is Superman?’ You need Superman in the mix, which is why we pushed hard to bring him back.”
